ClickHook started from a vision to make it easier to track leads and create marketing automation. The foundation of our product is twofold:
1. You can control ClickHook from email. All actions such as adding a contact, note, task, profile picture, etc. can be done using hashtag email commands. You can also log/record important emails simply by adding your unique ClickHook email ID into the b'cc field.
2. You can setup custom sales-flows and use sales hooks. Each sales-flow has stages you create with as much automation as you like. You can add a task or sales-hook or email to each stage you create. If you offer two services then you can build two separate sales-flows for those services and easily track your leads in relation to the service you offer (or products).
Scratching Our Own Itch
The founders run a web design and development company and experienced firsthand the frustration of trying to use a CRM while building a business. We wanted something that fit within our current daily activities which revolved mostly around email.
Being able to control ClickHook through hashtag email commands is a new concept but very powerful once you get used to it. For example, you might meet one of your contacts at StarBucks and you can email ClickHook:

Next, we wanted to have a simple way to track leads with simple marketing automation. We found that we kept using the same documents/attachments ("sales hooks") for all our leads. We want to build the simplest but most flexible sales CRM on the market. Combining simplicity with flexibility is sometimes difficult to do but every decision we make we try to ask, "Is it making it more simple and how can we do it in a way to make it totally flexible?"
We are self-funding the entire thing and we already use ClickHook for our web design company. We want to grow organically, keep our costs low and become profitable quickly. Our plan is to continue to listen to customer's feedback, keep improving it, and use online marketing tactics like SEO and Adwords to grow it.
